• Regions offers automatic withholding at the 28 percent level. • In the past, you have been able to choose the amount of federal income tax you wanted withheld as a percentage of the interest payment. • A letter is being sent to you to explain that beginning November 21, 2008, you no longer will be able to choose the percentage withheld, and the percentage withheld will be changed to 28 percent for all interest payments. • If you want to discontinue automatic withholding at 28 percent, you can visit your branch on or after November 24 to make this change.
