Are there any changes planned in the near future?
The program prides itself on adapting in order to address national changes in internal medicine. In addition, we encourage housestaff to voice their ideas and engage in ways to improve on what currently exists. Some recent changes that impacted the lives of the housestaff were the renovation of our Bellevue Call Room, the creation of “Mentorship Luncheons” with the Medicine Grand Rounds speakers, the staffing of the new Heart Hospital and the implementation of additional “bonus holiday days” over Thanksgiving and Christmas.
