Are there any certification programs similar to Vibration for electric motor testing?
Terry: There is presently an effort by ISO TC108 SC5 under Working Group 10 to produce the certification program. It is still a few years off. The Institute of Electrical Motor Diagnostics (IEMD) is leading the way with an international membership in taking part in this effort. This month IEEE Electrical Insulation Magazine has featured IEMD and its efforts. I will post the article in tonight or tomorrow.
