Are There Any Carbon Fiber Body Panels Available For The XTR2?
At the present time, Westfield is not offering any carbon fiber exterior or interior body panels for the XTR2. While carbon fiber panels would reduce the weight of the XTR2 even further, a driver may find that certain weight minimums for a track car are necessary and any weight savings achieved from carbon fiber pieces would have to be offset with ballast, thus negating any benefit. The lack of carbon fiber panels also significantly reduces the cost and cost of maintenance of the XTR2, which is an underlying goal for the car.
