Are there any books, or software, containing standard interview questions to help filter out workplace theft?
Answer TM- I know of no interview tests or questions that are fool proof. My best advise is to use a comprehensive selection process that includes: 1) Always utilize an employment application-making sure that your applicants complete every line, blank, etc. do not substitute a resume. Reason- crooks “always” have something to hide: breaks in employment, prison time, inability to find work because of legal or etc. problems. 2) Conduct a good thorough interview, ask lots of questions about who, what, where, and how. You don’t have to be a psychologist to ask probing questions. Utilize your naturally curiosity. And if an answer doesn’t make sense, challenge it and pay attention to it. Too often when we interview we forgive and enable the applicant sub-consciously. 3) Utilize a professional backgroumd checking firm for those applicants who completed both the application and interview appropriately. Check 7 years of county criminal, social security number verification and highest degree att
