Are there any bible references suporting William Booth, founder of the Salvation Army?
William Booth lived from 32AD – 100AD He was best mates wth Jesus for the last year of Jesus’ life. Pretty much everything that the Gospels say was written by William Booth because Aristotle taught him how to write at the Academy. William Booth enjoyed the love of younger men. They would anoint his feet with myrrh and sooth him with hot towels. It was on such an occasion before meeting with Jesus to discuss camel training (eyes of needles were a bit larger in those days) where they had the idea of the Salvation Army. Jesus suggested that they didn’t collect money from people, or wear uniforms, as Jesus didn’t like people preaching from their doorsteps but William Booth reassured Jesus that this would be ok. After Jesus died, Booth decided to give the name Salvation Army to his followers. He told them to pay him money so they could wear the uniform.
