Are there any benefits to being a CalStateTEACH Intern?
Yes! Many school districts have separate pay schedules for emergency and credentialed teachers. An intern credential provides many benefits that a regular credentialed teacher is accorded. A state grant pays a stipend to each public school Intern’s site mentor for services provided in support of the intern, and the intern, by virtue of being enrolled in a credential program, is closer to obtaining a preliminary credential.
