Are there any benefits of using chopsticks?
you practice hand-eye coordination, especially if you’re not used to using them. I know lots of non-Asian surgeons and musicians who eat with chopsticks and try to preform ordinary tasks like buttoning their shirt or brushing their teeth with their non-dominant hand. I don’t use my hands a lot when I work, so I can’t tell you if it works. My brother in law is a music teacher, and he says that it does help with speed and coordination when playing the piano. I use chopsticks because they make the food taste more authentic, and I normally get fuller faster because I eat slower.
