Are there any benefits of running Win7 64-bit?
ProPresenter4 for Windows is a 32-bit application. Because of this, there are no specific improvements to the performance of the program by running the 64-bit version of Windows Vista or Windows 7**. One of the biggest differences between a 32-bit OS and the 64-bit version is how it handles RAM. Current 32-bit operating systems (Vista, Win7) can only effectively handle 4GB of RAM. The 64-bit version can handle much more than 4GB. This is beneficial for people who do a lot of gaming, video editing or extreme multi-tasking. The limitation with 64-bit and over 4GB of RAM is that 32-bit applications will still only access a maximum of 4GB. You may see some improvement in overall system performance (especially if you’re running ProPresenter and other processor-intensive software at the same time, but there are no direct benefits to running ProPresenter in the 64-bit version of an operating system. If you are considering upgrading a previous version of Windows (XP or Vista) do some research
