Yes, there are several in depth studies that investigate the real differences of midrange CAE packages. An independent study was conducted by ARA Engineering that investigated; ease-of-use, accuracy and total time to completion. The packages investigated were DesignSpace, MSC Working Knowledge FEA and Cosmos/Works from SRAC.
