Are there any advantages / disadvantages to mainly using soy milk and proteins rather than just milk and meat?
There are plenty of advantages to keeping meat in your diet. It is not just about protein, but other nutrients like iron and carnitine. The iron in meat is more easily absorbed than the iron in vegetables. As for soy, I have been drinking soy milk for six years and it is MUCH easier to digest than cow’s milk. I have used soymilk for cooking, drinking, and making lattes and have found it to be no different than using milk. Not to mention that cow’s milk contains candida (yeast) which can lead to a host of digestive problems.
