Are there any additional security measures in place?
Gene Logic has regular Security and Vulnerability Assessments conducted by an outside firm (Chesapeake Strategies Group, Inc.). All employees gain facility access via monitored access cards. Intrusion alarms, glass break sensors and motion detectors are in operation and linked to Reescientific Corp. Security Systems for 24/7 monitoring. In addition to the above, closed circuit video camera monitoring on all doorways as well as the loading dock are in operation. After normal business hours, a contract security agency (Securitas) patrol is available by cell phone communication if there is an immediate emergency. All perimeter doors have card access units. All visitors must sign in at the reception lobby and are given temporary passes. The Data Center (central computer room) has limited access only.
