Are there any academic publications on the subject of clinical trials involving the Drawtex® dressing?
Yes, an article was published in the British Journal of Nursing in South Africa. Also a multi-centre randomised clinical trial was done in the UK in 2003 where Drawtex® was compared to eleven other products available on the market. It was proved in most cases that the performance of Drawtex® was if not the same, more superior than the other products used in the trial. Note: Currently at various institutions throughout South Africa, Drawtex® is undergoing evaluation for it’s effect on the dilution of bacteria within a wound.
