There are lots of jobs depending on where you live and what kinds of skills you have. In Juneau, for example, there are lots of state jobs because it’s the state capitol. In the Anchorage area there are lots of jobs because it’s the largest city in the state and also because Anchorage is positioned well between Asia, Europe, and the lower 48, in terms of shipping and manufacturing. The main industry is oil, after that as tourism, and then fishing. Jobs pay more but the cost of living is higher too.
