Are there age-related changes in MMPI studies?
Yes, there are definitely age changes. And young males are just like that. I think it’s much more important to understand that we are what we are and that we are changing our environment ever so much faster than we are changing us. Basically, we are not biologically – and in many ways, psychologically – a whole lot different from what we were 50,000 years ago. Throughout recorded history people have valued speed. You know, the fastest runner, the fastest horse, the fastest boat, the fastest train, the fastest plane, you know, speed. For whatever reasons, people like it. And I suspect males like it even better than females on the whole. So why not just accept that? And instead of making cars that go 60 and feel like they are standing still, why don’t you give them feedback? You know, when they are going 40, let them experience the sensation of speed. Right.
