Are there age limitations to hiring a vehicle?
A8: All drivers hiring vehicles and using Arriva Vehicle Rentals insurance must be aged between 21 and 75 inclusive. Hirers aged 21 to 24 must have held a full licence for at least two years and those above the age of 25 must have held a full licence for at least one year. Drivers over the age of 75 are acceptable provided they hold valid driving licence, known to AVR,and hired previously, have acceptable claim/conviction record and appear physically fit and mentally alert according to our insurance. If any requirements are not met then rental will be declined. Your rental branch will explain the actual age necessary to drive the vehicle type of your choice at the time of enquiry or reservation.
