Are there admissions requirements for international students at WMU?
Western annually enrolls nearly 2000 international students representing more than 100 foreign countries. International students interested in attending the University must submit Applications for Admission, official transcripts of secondary and post-secondary work, as well as copies of diplomas reflecting certificates and degrees earned. In addition, a statement of financial solvency is required as is evidence of documented proficiency in English. Tests and scores accepted by WMU are listed on our WMU Web site. Any applicant who isn’t a permanent resident of the United States at the time of application for admission is categorized as an international student.
