No the P1 and P2 licence fees are equivalent to the payment of a two year licence and in most cases the P1 and P2 licence will be issued for a total period of 3 years, however you will lose the advantage of paying for a 5 year licence period and getting the discounted rate. Concessions still apply, see the licence fees page.
