Are there actually toy guns that look almost real?
technically, a B-B or air-pistol is NOT a toy. If you think it IS, you think very wrong! Most, if not all, toy makers won’t or can’t legally make a realistic toy handgun anymore, due to the fact that children have been shot pointing them at police. The last true realistic toy guns were probably produced in the 1970’s and early ’80’s, after that, they’re orange or another bright color to prevent mis-identification with a real weapon. Could still paint it,but kids usually won’t. But there are some realistic toy guns out there. See Ebay if you really want one.
Yes there are, and children and teenagers have been shot by the police because they presented these toys in such a manner that the officer reacted to what he thought was a legitimate threat with a real weapon. This is why Air-Soft guns have orange tips to their barrels and it is against the law to modify these items.
