Are ther jobs in Atlanta, Georgia and the south east United States since the economy has gone bad?
In Fulton County (the county Atlanta is in), the school board has decided to lay off all part time teachers and most all assistants. That was their decision after considering firing all school nurses. It’s unbelievable. You’ll have much better luck in neighboring counties such as Forsyth, Gwinnett, Cherokee, and Cobb. They have a lower cost of living than North Fulton and are very safe as well. The schools there are of a very good quality, and I’m sure you’ll be satisfied with the respect that the schools in those counties give. Clayton County has lost its accreditation in the past year, I wouldn’t recommend that area to you. As a teacher, you have the biggest impact on kids’ lives than anyone else. They spend more time at school with teachers than they do with parents. You’re bringing up our future and I respect and admire you for that. It’s not something to be taken lightly. But do check the schools in the other counties that I mentioned. They’re sure to satisfy.
