Are their any other Catholics out there who are upset by Angels & Demons?
I’m not Catholic (though raised one). I understand Angels & Demons is fiction, Dan Brown has made his feelings clear regarding Catholicism. With the DaVinci code, he sent the manuscript to the Vatican (they normally read these types of stories ahead of time) and were shocked, but *kind* of let it go. After the whole rise, he continued on with this one (this time the Vatican refused to even take a look at the manuscript and with GOOD reasons). I don’t find either of the books that fantastic, as some people might. I also know it is COMPLETE fiction. However, I’m well aware that many have misconceptions of the Catholic Church and being that they aren’t really aware of the actual facts, will think that it is indeed non-fiction (as MANY have for the DaVinci code). Dan Brown knew exactly what he was doing, and I bet he was playing exactly on this scenario.
