Are the x men trilogy good films and worth to get on dvd?
The X-Men movies are X-cellent! The first one does an outstanding job of introducing all the main characters. I found the second one to be the weakest, but it has many memorable scenes and does offer a lot of insight into Wolverine’s past, bringing him face-to-face with his “creator”. The third movie got lukewarm reviews on release (mainly because of the change of Director and the killing-off of some key characters), but I think it’s actually better than the second, with a superior storyline that ties-up everything, delivers some surprises, and gives the trilogy an impressive climax Fans of the X-Men comics may find some of the changes to the original stories lessen the movie experience. But, if you are not a die-hard fan of the comics, the movies deliver a great cast of actors (who clearly care about the characters) in multi-threaded, intelligent stories.
