Are the works of Saki now public domain?

0

I think that the information below clarifies the situation. Saki (Hector Munro) died in 1916 and so the text itself is out of copyright. “As of September 1995, the literary copyright lasts for the duration of the author’s life plus 70 years. (Prior to this it lasted for the duration of the author’s life plus 50 years.) The typographical copyright lasts for 25 years. This means that a book whose author has been dead for 70 years, but has been published within the last 25 years, cannot be photocopied without the permission of the publisher. Copying in this instance would infringe the typographical copyright. A book which was published more than 25 years ago, but whose author is alive or has not been dead for at least 70 years, still has literary copyright.
