The wicks are lead free and also core free (no zinc) and are made from 100% cotton. Although our wicks are considered self trimming we still recommend that you trim the wicks to between 1/8 and 1/4 inch at all times. If your flame is higher than an inch, it’s time to trim your wick. (Burn instructions recommend that you NEVER burn a candle continuously for more than 3 hours!
