Are the visiting academics required to interact with the students and residents?
Visiting academics automatically become members of the Senior Common Room – a friendly and informal group of graduate residents and associates. Pre-dinner drinks and after dinner drinks are served there during the academic year on High Table nights (Mondays and Tuesdays) for all members who wish to attend. Academic visitors can also participate in the academic program for students by giving informal seminars in their research areas, hosting round table dinners in the dining room or seminars for small student groups.
