Are the VETMEDIN Capsules bioequivalent to the VETMEDIN Chewable Tablets?
Only the chewable tablets are licensed by the FDA in the US,1, 2, 3 but both the capsules and the chewable tablets contain the same active pharmaceutical ingredient, pimobendan. As a result, they are considered equivalent for clinical use. Bioequivalence, however, has not been established.15 Please see references on the References page link below.
