Are the transmit and receive pins assigned with respect to the MIDG?

The MIDG Rx pin is a data sink. ____________________________ Loss of GPS We are interested in designing a self-contained, computerized test system which would be flown in a military aircraft and monitor and log measurements of a given device under test. In it, I would like to incorporate a MIDG-II sensor to allow the monitoring and logging computer to measure the accelerations and angular orientation of the aircraft. Since the test system is self-contained and sealed in a metal housing inside the aircraft, I can not give it access to a GPS antenna and so would forgo the GPS information.
