Are the toronto argonauts well known/popular?
As a Torontonian, I can tell you that they’re only the fourth or fifth most popular team in the city. The Leafs are number one, with the Raptors being a somewhat close second. I’d put the Jays at third, then it’s up for debate whether the Argos are more popular than Toronto FC. The soccer team sells out all its games, but they also play in a smaller stadium… Outside of Toronto, there isn’t much of an Argo fanbase. Since the CFL has teams across the country, including up to two others in Ontario (Ottawa’s been off-and-on and should be getting a new team soon), the Argos fanbase is mostly limited to the local market.
