Georgia Southern University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) to award Associate, Bachelor, Master, Specialist, and Doctorate degrees. In addition, the College of Education’s programs are accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE); its programs are approved by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GAPSC); and the counselor education program is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).
