Are the symptoms of Peritoneal Mesothelioma different?
As with other types of Mesothelioma, there is a long latency period for the symptoms to manifest, that is approximately 20-30 years. Similar to other mesothelioma types, the symptoms are non-specific, so it is important to make sure your doctor is aware of your past exposure to asbestos. Symptoms may include nausea, loss off appetite, abdominal pains, swelling, and weakness; weight loss, and/or bowel obstruction. Additional problems may be experienced depending on the tumor’s location in the abdomen, including severe pains and breathing problems.
