Are the Supervised Industry Internships paid?
Most of the time they are. A Supervised Industry Internship will usually pay between $10.00 and $15.00 per hour, depending upon the job and your skill level. However, you may negotiate with the company for as much as you wish or take an unpaid internship if you feel the learning experience would be enough to compensate for the lack of pay. I have just completed an internship, or am currently in one that I acquired outside of the program. Can I use this as credit for the Supervised Industry Internship? Can I use my place of employment as credit for the Supervised Industry Internship? No, absolutely not. Neither may be applied for credit.
