Once you start using anabolic or abdrogenic steroids,you exceed the amount of testosterone that your body neeeds.This haults the release of luteinizing hormone haulting testosterone production.Most test is made in the testes,so they shrink like a muscle that you don’t use. Once the abuser stops using the steroids,testosterone production eventually returns to normal,so the testes return to normal size. There is no shrinkage of the penis at all.In most cases,especially adolescence,the penis gets larger,not that its’s a muscle,it’s vascular erectile tissue(like a vein but different).Impotence often follows because of lesser test production.
