are the self tuning guitars worth the money?

They only come on Gibsons right now, right? They look pretty cool, but I wouldn’t say that they’re worth the money if you’re not gigging. If you’re gigging, I could see how having that system onboard could help tremendously – not having to manually tune up after every song would be a godsend. If you’re only playing for fun – well, buying a tuner pedal and tuning the guitar yourself isn’t bad at all – especially since the Gibsons that the self-tuning feature come on don’t have floating bridges. Really, a fixed bridge isn’t difficult to tune at all, I’d say, and not worth the extra money/hassle if it breaks down. My two cents! Sources: www.gibson.
