Are the seeds of sicana odorfera poisonous to birds?

0

sicama odorfera, commonly known as Banana Casa, house banana in English, is a vine originating from the tropics and grown by locals for its long lasting fruits which give off a delicate scent, hence its name. It is also widely used in soups and stews. Sorry I have taken a long time to answer, I have been awaiting a reply from the RSPB. I can now tell you that the seeds of the above plants are beloved by birds, as well as the people, they are totally harmless. The birds in my garden are spoilt they will eat nothing but boring peanuts.
