Are the same problems as King County is having with Brightwater likely to happen with Tunnel+Transit?
Risks are part of any project. There is much we have been able to learn from the experiences of other projects to help anticipate and head off problems before they happen. A better comparison than to Brightwater might be to the Sound Transit tunnel under Beacon Hill. That tunnel came in under budget because of the tunneling technology used. It should be noted that our coalition is dedicated to keeping an eye on how the Tunnel+Transit projects are managed. We believe that public involvement is critical to bringing in projects on-time and on-budget.
