Are the Reiki Symbols Clandestine (Secret)?
Unfortunately, in recent years the once clandestine symbols of Reiki have been published in books and on the Internet, making them accessible for all eyes. (Nothing is kept sacred in a capitalist society, or with the media!) Even though the symbols have not been held Sacred, as they were originally intended to be, their powerful healing properties have not been reduced. The healing properties of the Reiki Symbols are simply not accessible to just anyone, even to someone who knows what they look like. The ability to use the symbols properly, and for the appropriate situations that they are meant to be used, comes from a fairly lengthy workshop (usually 6-8 hours long, or more) in conjunction with a proper Attunement from a Certified Reiki Teacher, in person.
