Are the recent deaths of young black youths the result of black anti-police and anti-authority culture?
OK, I guess I’m setting myself up for a downfall here, but I think a lot of the problems come from the blacks themselves (though it’s NOT JUST this group that has this problem). It’s a well known fact that there is an issue with young black males – er- shall we say sowing their seeds wherever they can, with the result that there are far too many black kids being brought up in single parent families where there are no father figures. No-one to guide, no safe male role model, so these kids get their role models elsewhere, and too often the sources are at best dodgy. Gangster film stars, rappers who glorify violence, drugs and beating women – they all influence these youngsters whose mothers cannot control them. Is it any wonder their lives are a mess? I have heard black church leaders and community leaders on the radio and TV discussing this problem but they don’t seem to have an answer; I have no idea either what could be done.
