Are the proposed new measures stricter than the current provisions?
The new measures are not basically stricter. Rather they are more precise regulations, which should create greater clarity, transparency and legal certainty concerning the use of “Made in Switzerland” designations and the Swiss cross and thus reinforce their protection. All of the participants in the consultation otherwise approved the objectives of the amendment.
