For DIY (Do-It-Yourself) courses, the pre-requisites are suggested pre-requisites. For the instructor-led courses, they are enforced. The pre-requisites are in place not only for the knowledge that’s required. Often instructors like to become familiar with your writing and you to become familiar with their teaching style prior to taking one of the upper level courses.
