Are the Phoenix Coyotes moving? Does anyone else besides me feel bad for the team?
The Coyotes aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. Moyes said the other day that he has no plans to declare bankruptcy, and Gretzky says he knows of no plans to move the team, nor are they receiving the largest advcance of NHL money (Ottawa is apparently using more NHL money than Phoenix despite selling out all their games). In the standings, the Coyotes are a better team than in previous years with a lot of young talent. They are currently 7th in points/9th in percentage in the West, and have scored more goals, and let in fewer goals than after 35 games last year. As for Gretzky, he ranks in the top half of NHL coaches historically in winning percentage, and the team has shown consistent improvement under him. Olli Jokinen thinks he’s the best coach he has played for. Michinoku Moyes has no creditors……….he owns 94% of the team outright (Gretzky owns the other 6% outright with no creditors).
