Are the pay rates and ranges based on total earnings or just base salary?
The published rates and ranges are base salary only. Has Connect agreed to the implementation of the New Reward Framework? No, and we won’t do so without an e-ballot of our members. Specifically, we have not agreed the structure or the mapping. Also there remain a number of significant issues where further discussions are necessary. Will Connect be recommending acceptance of the New Reward Framework in the forthcoming ballot? Not unless we are satisfied that our issues are resolved. What are Connect’s main concerns with the proposals as currently outlined? We are not convinced that the Job Families and roles adequately match the reality of jobs within BT: • We have major concerns about the mapping process. Many roles have a huge range of current grades and salaries suggesting that there may be a mix of different job sizes mapped to a single role. • In some areas, we are concerned that there are not enough job sizes in the new structure.
