Are the parks safe for an individual traveling alone?

The parks are indeed safe. It’s the areas outside the parks that you must use caution and good sense when visiting. Let’s just say that if you are unsure about venturing into a certain area, don’t. As an example, Church Street Station is a popular night spot in Orlando and it is relatively safe. Venture about a block or two away from it and you’re in a bad section of town.
