Are the paintings of Elvis Presley on velvet real art or just mass-produced junk?
I’m not sure I’ve ever seen any painting on black velvet that I would classify as “real art.” And most of the black velvet paintings I’ve seen were indeed junk. I haven’t seen that many of Elvis, but ones I’ve seen were pretty bad. But don’t get too hung up on what’s “real art.” When you’re talking about black velvet paintings or images of Elvis, all that matters is that you like it.
