The existing ORiNOCO products and previous WaveLAN products are interoperable using the AP-1000 Access Point. AP-1000 has a dual slot PCMCIA architecture, which makes it possible to use both the old WaveLAN and the new ORiNOCO AP-1000 within the same environment.
