Are the notes equity or debt securities?

The notes are our senior debt securities. However, these notes differ from traditional debt securities in that you will not receive interest payments and they contain a currency derivative component. At maturity, you will receive your principal amount, and you also may receive an additional amount called the Supplemental Redemption Amount, as described below, which is based on the performance of the U.S. dollar relative to the euro over the term of the notes.
