Yes. Both the Natural-Fit and the LT are made of lightweight aluminum (6061 aluminum alloy). The oringal Natural-Fit weighs just 26 ounces and the Natural-Fit LT weighs 19 ounces. More importantly, research demonstrates that the Natural-Fit provides better performance and more efficient propulsion than standard handrims. Put simply, the better performance and efficiency far outweigh the small difference in weight. More efficient propulsion, or covering the same distance with less effort, helps to reduce the stress and strain on the arms as an individual propels his or her chair.
