Are the Montreal Canadiens going to make the playoffs?
I think so. My guess is the top 8 in the east right now will be the teams that make the playoffs. The only team that’s even threatening is Buffalo, and they’d pick off Pittsburgh(who’ve played 2 more games and are lower in the standings than Montreal), before the habs. They’ll make the playoffs is my bet, but they’ll be out in the 1st round. It’s a soft, dysfunctional team. They were playing above their ability for nearly a year, and now it’s hit the fan. Being shutout by Atlanta, after a 5-1 loss to Buffalo? Gainey messed up by not making any moves at the deadline.
