Are the Montreal Canadians the Buffalo Sabres of 05-07?
I would say this seaon’s Canadiens are more along the lines of the 2005-06 Carolina Hurricanes than the 05-07 Sabres. While the jury is still out on Carey Price (remember, he is just 20 years old), keep in mind he is very similar to Cam Ward in the way that both began their NHL careers. The Hurricanes if you remember also have some homegrown talent (Eric Staal being among the crop) and speed to burn.
