Are the mini-beam sensors and the thermal imaging camera both hard-wired sensors?
Yes, both the OS-1C and TIS-100 sensors are hard wired, using standard CAT-5 cable, from the mounting position, usually at the entrance to the store, directly to the Sensor Wiring Junction Box (JBox). The JBox gives a clear view of the wiring connections for tamper-proof installation and simple troubleshooting, and is usually installed near the RTC9000 Traffic Counter. There is only one connection required from the JBox to the RTC9000, thereby reducing the potential failure points and ensuring maximum up-time.
