Are the Military Deaths in Afghanistan President Obamas Fault?
While President Obama was running for office as the most Junior Senator from Illinois, he often railed against the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. He and his party made specific complaints about the number of deaths in our military duty fighting these conflicts. Now that he is Commander-in-Chief, he has actually reneged on his promise to bring the troops home from Iraq and increased the military personnel and forces in Afghanistan. This may be prudent, and what the military recommends, but there still lies some hypocrisy in his words and actions. Today, as commander in chief he is using the exact same tactics that the military used during the Bush administration to clear out the Anbar Province in Iraq and other strongholds that insurgents and terrorists and occupied in Iraq. The Obama administration has also secured additional funding from Congress and implemented the same blitz strategy in Afghanistan.
